    Wright II, 11. Hamilton 926. Inscribed in ink by the author to Charles Hale, with Hale's bookplate. A journalist and politician, Hale was the youngest speaker of the Massachusetts General Assembly. See DAB. Adams wrote two well known anti-slavery novels during the 1850s.
