BAL 23505. Inscribed in ink by the author, who died in 1928 at age forty-three: "Marian Dodd/ from/ Elinor Wylie.//With good memories of/the pleasantest of __./ Northampton, 1925." Best known as a poet, this was Wylie's second novel, sometimes called a philosophical fairy tale.
