CLAFLIN, TENNIE C. Constitutional Equality a Right of Woman; or a Consideration of the Various Relations which She Sustains as a Necessary Part of the Body of Society and Humanity. New York: Woodhull, Claflin & Co., 1871. 1st ed. 8vo. [6], 148 pp. Orig. cloth. A few chips on spine. Bookplate removed from inside front cover, inner front joint starting. $750.00

The authoress was the least notorious of the two Claflin sisters, co-publisher of Woodhull and Claflin's Weekly. Probably a better writer than her better known sister, Claflin here discusses suffrage, personal freedom, divorce and constitutional equality.
